A blast from the past... My friend, Ofer Ogash posted a link to this article I've wrote 15 years ago. It's a test drive to two new-then versions of the Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero in some countries) that gave me the perfect opportunity to match old fashioned iron tech vs the cutting edge electronic system of the time, traction control.
The automotive world did a long way in the last 15 years, much longer than the 15 years before. It would be interesting to do a similar test today. Maybe drive, shoulder to shoulder, an E-Tron and a Q7. I have a feeling the differences would be much bigger than the differences in that old test...
Let me know what you'd prefer to drive off-road - classic steel or state of the art electronics?
